The problem with a normal POS

Why Mobile POS Replaces Costly POS Hardware

A conventional point of sale is a shopping list before it is a system. A terminal, a scanner gun, a QR reader, a printer, a drawer, a PC — bought, cabled, powered and bolted to one spot. That spend is why most small retailers stay on a register and a notebook.

  • What you no longer have to buy
  • Barcode scanner gunThe phone camera reads barcodes straight into the cart.
  • QR code readerGenerate and scan product QR codes in the same app.
  • Document camera or scannerPhotograph bills, IDs and delivery notes and attach them to the record.
  • Signature padCustomers sign on the screen with a finger.
  • POS terminal and till PCThe whole system runs on the Android device in your hand.
  • Local server and internet lineOffline mode keeps data on the device with nothing to host.

Plain answer

What Is a Mobile POS and Android POS?

Chutki POS is a complete retail management system and point of sale application for Android phones, tablets and Windows PCs, built by New Wiz Tech. It handles the full trading cycle — sales, sales returns, purchases, purchase returns, products, categories, inventory, charges, customers and vendors — and produces accounting-grade reports including profit & loss, tax collection and tender summaries.

The Android app needs no additional hardware: the phone’s camera acts as the barcode and QR scanner, the screen captures customer signatures, and photographs attach directly to records. It runs in three modes — offline, hybrid or cloud — and integrates with third-party systems such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Deployment

Mobile POS Deployment: Offline, Hybrid or Cloud

Pick the mode that matches your shop’s connectivity, not the other way round. You can move between modes later without changing how your staff work.

Offline · no connection needed

Everything on the device

No internet, no server, no waiting. Data is stored locally, so billing keeps running through outages, load-shedding and dead-zone basements. Best for a single counter.

Hybrid · syncs when online

Sell offline, sync later

Transactions post locally and upload the moment a connection returns. Head office sees the same numbers your counter does, without depending on the counter’s signal.

Cloud · always connected

Every branch, one dataset

Stock, pricing and customers live centrally. Open a second shop and it inherits the same catalogue on day one. Reports cover the whole business, not one till.

Modules

Android POS Modules for the Whole Trading Cycle

Most mobile POS apps stop at taking money. Chutki POS carries the transaction all the way through to stock, ledgers and tax.

Sales

Ring up items by search, barcode or QR, apply charges and take payment in one screen.

Sales Return

Refund against the original invoice so stock, tax and the customer ledger all reverse correctly.

Purchase

Record supplier bills, land costs into inventory and keep vendor balances current.

Purchase Return

Send goods back to the vendor with a debit that flows straight into stock and payables.

Products

One catalogue with pricing, units, tax treatment, barcodes and product images.

Inventory

Live stock levels with low-stock alerts, so you reorder before a shelf goes empty.

Categories

Group the catalogue the way your shop is actually laid out, and report by group.

Charges

Add delivery, service, packing or tax lines to any document with your own rules.

Customers

Full directory with purchase history, outstanding balance and attached documents.

Vendors

Supplier records with purchase history, payables and the paperwork attached to each.

Barcode & QR

Your phone camera is the scanner. Generate product QR codes and scan them at checkout.

Expenses

Log rent, utilities and daily cash-outs so profit & loss reflects the real shop, not just sales.

Where it works

Mobile POS That Goes Wherever You Sell

Once a mobile POS fits in a pocket, it stops being a fixed station and starts following the work — down the aisle, into the van, out to the customer’s shop.

Sales representatives

Take the order at the customer’s counter

Show the live catalogue, check stock, book the order and issue the invoice on the spot — no order pad, no re-keying it back at the office, no forgotten line items.

Van sales & home delivery

Invoice at the door, signature on the screen

Bill from the vehicle, take the customer’s signature with a finger and photograph the handover. Stock on the van reconciles against what was loaded that morning.

Warehouse & goods receiving

Count and receive with the camera

Walk the racks scanning cartons, post the purchase as goods arrive, and attach a photo of any damage straight to the vendor’s record before the argument starts.

Busy promotion days

Open a second counter when the queue builds

Eid rush, Black Friday, a weekend sale — hand a spare phone to another staff member and there’s a second till. When the rush ends, you’re not left with hardware you paid for.

Stalls, melas & exhibitions

Sell where there’s no counter and no signal

Market stalls, trade fairs and pop-ups run entirely offline. Every sale posts locally and syncs when you’re back on a connection, with the day’s numbers already reconciled.

Multi-branch retail

One catalogue, every shop, one dashboard

Run each branch on cloud mode and see sales, stock and margin across all of them together — or drill into a single till without leaving your desk.

Reporting

Mobile POS Reports Your Accountant Will Accept

Six report families cover the questions a retailer and an auditor both ask — what did we earn, what do we hold, who paid how, and what tax is due.

  • Profit & LossRevenue, cost of goods, expenses and margin for any period.
  • InventoryStock on hand, valuation and movement by product or category.
  • SalesBy day, product, category, customer or salesperson.
  • TenderCash, card, wallet and credit splits, reconciled to the drawer.
  • Tax CollectionOutput and input tax per rate, ready for your filing.
  • AccountsCustomer and vendor ledgers, ageing and outstanding balances.

Proof of the transaction

Images and signatures, attached where the argument happens

Disputes are settled by evidence, not memory. Capture a photo and a signed acknowledgement against the record itself — using the same phone that took the payment.

Why shopkeepers switch

Why Retailers Switch to a Mobile POS

  • No scanner, terminal or printer to buy before you start
  • Save hours of manual bookkeeping every day
  • Staff with zero technical training can run it
  • Keeps billing during outages and dead signal
  • Goes into the field, the van and the warehouse with you
  • Send digital receipts over WhatsApp or SMS
  • Returns reverse stock, tax and ledgers automatically
  • Backed by an ERP integration team, not a template shop

Questions

Mobile POS and Android POS FAQs

Do I need a barcode scanner or any special hardware for Chutki POS?
No. The Android app uses the phone’s own camera as the barcode and QR scanner, the touchscreen to capture customer signatures, and the camera again to photograph documents and attach them to records. You do not need a POS terminal, scanner gun, QR reader, signature pad, document scanner or local server. An Android phone is the complete setup.
Does Chutki POS work without an internet connection?
Yes. In offline mode Chutki POS stores every transaction on the device, so sales, returns and stock updates continue during an outage. In hybrid mode the same offline behaviour applies and data uploads automatically once a connection returns.
Can sales representatives use Chutki POS in the field?
Yes. Field sales reps, van sales and delivery teams can show the live catalogue, check stock, book the order and issue the invoice at the customer’s own counter. Because the app runs offline, no signal is needed, and signatures and photos are captured on the same device.
What is the difference between offline, hybrid and cloud mode?
Offline keeps all data on one device with no sync. Hybrid stores data on the device and syncs it to a central copy when a connection is available. Cloud keeps every branch on one live dataset with no local-only records. All three run the same app and the same screens.
Which devices does Chutki POS run on?
Chutki POS runs on Android phones and tablets, available from Google Play, and on Windows PCs. Adding a second till during a busy promotion day is a matter of installing the app on another phone.
Can Chutki POS connect to QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?
Yes. Chutki POS integrates with third-party accounting and ERP systems including QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, so invoices, purchases, customers and vendors reach your back office without re-keying. Other systems can be connected on request.
What reports does Chutki POS provide?
Six report families: Profit & Loss, Inventory, Sales, Tender, Tax Collection and Accounts. Together they cover earnings and margin, stock on hand and valuation, sales breakdowns, payment-method reconciliation, tax due for filing, and customer and vendor ledgers.
Can I attach photos and signatures to invoices?
Yes. Images and signatures can be attached to customers, vendors, purchases and sales — for example a signed delivery acknowledgement on a sale, or a goods-received photo on a purchase. The attachment stays with the record.
Does Chutki POS handle sales returns and purchase returns?
Yes. Both are first-class modules. A sales return refunds against the original invoice and reverses stock, tax and the customer balance. A purchase return sends goods back to the vendor and adjusts inventory and payables.
How do I get Chutki POS?
Install the Android app from Google Play at play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.newwiztech.chutkipos. For the Windows build, multi-branch setup or an ERP integration, contact New Wiz Tech.
