Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Business Central Stripe Connector (“Extension”), a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central extension published by New Wiz Tech (NWT) on Microsoft AppSource. It describes how NWT handles information in connection with the installation and use of the Extension.
This policy applies to all users of the Extension, whether on the Free or Pro license plan. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Key principle: The Extension is designed as a zero-data-footprint integration. NWT does not collect, process, or store your business data, customer data, or any financial information. The Extension connects your Business Central environment with Stripe — both of which independently manage and secure their own data.
Who We Are
New Wiz Tech (NWT) is the developer and publisher of the Business Central Stripe Connector on Microsoft AppSource. NWT is the data controller for the limited license-related information described in this policy.
For the purposes of this policy, the following terms apply:
- “NWT,” “We,” “Us,” “Our” — New Wiz Tech, the publisher of the Extension.
- “You,” “Customer,” “User” — the individual or organization that installs and uses the Extension.
- “Extension” — the Business Central Stripe Connector published on Microsoft AppSource.
- “Business Central” — Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, operated by Microsoft Corporation.
- “Stripe” — the payment platform operated by Stripe, Inc.
Data We Collect
New Wiz Tech (NWT) collects only the minimal information necessary to deliver, validate, and maintain your license for the Extension. The following table details exactly what NWT collects and why:

That’s it. The five data points above represent the complete scope of information NWT collects. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no behavioural tracking, and no access to your business or payment data at any point.
Data We Do Not Collect
To be fully transparent, the following categories of data are never collected, accessed, or stored by New Wiz Tech (NWT) in connection with the Extension:

How We Use Your Data
The limited license-related data NWT collects is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- License validation: To verify that your account holds a valid active license (Free or Pro) each time the Extension initiates a license check.
- Feature entitlement: To determine which features are available based on your license tier, such as enforcing Payment Link generation limits on the Free plan.
- Subscription management: To manage license renewals, expirations, plan upgrades, and downgrades through the Microsoft AppSource billing system.
- Support and troubleshooting: To assist you if you contact NWT regarding license activation issues or plan discrepancies.
NWT does not use any collected data for marketing, advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond direct license management as described above.
Data Storage & Security
License-related data stored on NWT servers is protected using industry-standard security practices, including:
- Encrypted data transmission using TLS (Transport Layer Security) for all communications between the Extension and NWT’s license validation servers.
- Access controls restricting NWT staff access to license data on a need-to-know basis.
- Regular review of security practices to align with current industry standards.
Customer responsibility: NWT’s security obligations extend only to the limited license data stored on NWT’s own servers. The security of all data within your Business Central environment and your Stripe account — including Payment Link URLs, customer records, and transaction data — is entirely your responsibility as the Customer. Please refer to Microsoft’s and Stripe’s respective security documentation for their data protection commitments.
Third-Party Platforms
The Extension integrates with two third-party platforms. Each platform independently controls and is responsible for data within its own environment:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central — All Business Central data, including Payment Link URLs stored in BC records, customer information, invoices, and sales orders, is governed by Microsoft’s privacy policy and terms of service. NWT has no access to this data.
- Stripe, Inc. — All payment, transaction, and financial data processed through Stripe is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy and data handling practices. NWT has no access to your Stripe account data.
NWT strongly recommends reviewing the privacy policies of both Microsoft and Stripe to understand how your data is handled on those platforms.
Data Sharing & Disclosure
New Wiz Tech (NWT) does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. The limited license data NWT holds may be disclosed only in the following circumstances:
- Microsoft AppSource: NWT shares license status information with Microsoft’s AppSource billing and subscription infrastructure as required to validate and manage your subscription through the AppSource marketplace.
- Legal obligation: NWT may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority, provided NWT is legally permitted to notify you of such a request.
- Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of NWT’s assets, license data may be transferred as part of that transaction. Users will be notified of any such change via the AppSource listing or NWT’s website.
No data selling: NWT does not and will never sell, monetize, or commercially share any user information — including license data — with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or any other third parties for commercial gain.
Data Retention
NWT retains license-related data for as long as your subscription remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter to handle any post-cancellation support or billing inquiries. Specifically:
- Active subscriptions: License data is retained for the duration of your active Free or Pro plan.
- After cancellation or termination: License data may be retained for up to 90 days following the end of your subscription to address any queries, disputes, or re-activation requests.
- After 90 days: License data is securely deleted from NWT servers unless retention is required by applicable law.
To request early deletion of your license data, please contact NWT using the details in Section 14.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding the limited data NWT holds about you. NWT respects and supports the exercise of these rights:
You may request a copy of the license-related data NWT holds about your account at any time.
You may request correction of any inaccurate license or account information held by NWT.
You may request deletion of your license data, subject to any legal retention obligations NWT must comply with.
You may request a structured, machine-readable export of the license data NWT holds about you.
You may object to any processing of your data that goes beyond what is strictly necessary for license management.
You may withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the Extension and contacting NWT to remove your license record.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact NWT using the details provided in Section 14. NWT will respond to all valid requests within 30 calendar days.
Please note that rights regarding data stored within Business Central or Stripe must be exercised directly with Microsoft or Stripe respectively, as NWT has no access to that data.
Cookies & Tracking
The Business Central Stripe Connector Extension itself does not use cookies, web beacons, pixel trackers, or any other tracking technologies within Business Central.
NWT’s license validation server communications are stateless API calls used solely for license checks and do not involve any form of user tracking or behavioural profiling.
If NWT operates a public website, that website may use standard cookies for functionality or analytics purposes. Any such usage would be governed by a separate website cookie policy and is distinct from the Extension’s data practices described here.
Children’s Privacy
The Business Central Stripe Connector is a business-to-business (B2B) software extension intended solely for use by organizations and business professionals. It is not directed at or intended for use by individuals under the age of 18.
NWT does not knowingly collect any information from minors. If you believe that a minor has provided information to NWT in connection with the Extension, please contact us immediately using the details in Section 14 so that we may take appropriate action.
Policy Changes
New Wiz Tech (NWT) may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the Extension’s functionality. When changes are made:
- The updated policy will be published on NWT’s website and linked from the AppSource listing.
- The “Effective Date” at the top of this page will be updated to reflect the date of the latest revision.
- For material changes that significantly affect how your data is handled, NWT will endeavor to provide notice through the Extension interface or via the AppSource listing where feasible.
Continued use of the Extension after the effective date of a revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the revised policy, please uninstall the Extension and contact NWT to request deletion of your license data.
